Anne from Newfarm gave us a call to do some small electrical jobs. She is a regular customer and always a pleasure to work for (and her terrier is just a social sort of a dog).
We got there early to beat the traffic and went through the jobs, all small but still important to us.
So we replaced one faulty ceiling fan light and a power point with a faulty switch. Then we added another double power point so she could remove the double adapter and lead from behind the microwave and plug appliances into a more convenient location. Finally we replaced the batteries in the smoke detectors and checked the replacement date on the three units. She still has a year and a bit to go on them.
We also tested the safety switch in the switchboard when we were turned the power “off” to work on the power circuit and found it to be too slow at first so we operated it manually for a few operations and it worked properly after that but we did recommend for Anne to test it when she gets her next electricity account and if it fails then we would replace it with single pole units and protect the rest of the circuits which are currently not safety switch protected (another five circuits).
If your home needs a small electrical job done by a professional electrician, call Barry’s Electrical of North Brisbane and let Chris and Mason Barry make your home safe too.
Thank you Anne for the work today.
