We had a call from the guys putting in the new fencing around an existing swimming pool in Upper Kedron. This is not a common job for us but it is one that has come about because of new legislation that, in a nutshell, requires all metal components within 1.25 metres of the waters edge, must be earthed to the electrical earthing system.
This does cause us some headaches for all manner of reasons which I will not go into as they vary from job to job. The tradesmen that were installing the spigots and glass panels were very helpful and related how others have done the job in the past and we promptly went about fulfilling the requirements of the regulations and keeping them on time with the fitting of the final product.
It will be interesting to see if this requirement continues or is changed or even removed as a requirement.
If you require any electrical work done around you pool, please give Chris and Mason from Barry’s Electrical of North Brisbane a call on 0418739860
